Article Title: an absolute word tart!
By: schemingreader

“Well, who has time today, to do things like that?”
Tonight I made homemade pizza for my friends before one of them goes out of town to run the Dublin Marathon. The pizza came out great. I made the recipe from The Bread Baker’s Apprentice, which gave me six very thin crusts. I put pesto on one, with artichoke hearts on one side and onions on the other. Then I made some with tomato sauce: one with cheese for the children, one with eggplant, one with hummus (which was okay, but you know, kind of heavy) and some combinations. The last crust I made into an apple pizza: tahini, cinnamon-sugar, and sliced apples. My son really liked the apple one.

While they were visiting, our friends turned us on to a new youtube sensation, a series of videos called Feed Me Bubbe. We watched the first one. This lady reminds me very much of my best friend’s grandmother–not the same accent or anything, but the same kitchen, and the same way of selling the food the whole time she was cooking.

It was hard to decide which episode to share with you, but I thought the first one was pretty great:
